The Pergola
Here is Bernd with his completed master piece. I really love it. With some bougainvillea growing up on it and it will be all set. Definitely going to need an inspection for this. Getting Plastered
Yes, we are getting plastered, plastered and more plastered (pun intended). And to think, this time last year it looked like this below.
Plastered Cont.
Harley Scores
Harley was dreading getting the concrete floors scored. It's a back breaking, tedious and dirty job.
To Harley's relief, he had the entire main floor done in a day. Color Plaster
This final coat of plaster contained color, so that means, no painting, wall is finished. It's a soft, sandy sort of color we picked out. So glad to get rid of all that concrete. The outside walls will be the same color and again, no painting. Gary Francis and his crew have done a beautiful job with the texture. I love it.... it's perfect! To the left is Bernd starting our bathroom cabinets. Kitchen cabinets have been ordered. Railings going in next week. We're getting there. Pumps Installed ![]() ![]() The Bathroom Cabinets
Bernd again is working his magic.... cabinets are really looking good. Champagne Inspection
Anna and Suzanne came up for a champagne inspection. Thanks ladies for coming by, that was fun. Railings
![]() ![]() I was a little hesitant with my whimsical design and and setting sun motif I drew up for Tito but I'm liking them now that they are going in place. Tito and guys from Carlos Iron Works did a great job. Looking forward to seeing the front gate when it's in place. The Spa
Bernd is busy getting the framing up for my "soaking tub". ![]() ![]() Front Gate
Covering the Gray ![]() ![]() Primer coats in the bedrooms and baths are on. Plaster Complete Rest of April, into May ![]()
The Green Monster
The ugly big green septic tanks are finally hidden in the ground. Doors ![]() ![]() The Lowboy Fits ![]() ![]() Yep, he's in and just fits. Guess who hooking up the septic.
Tim the Tile Man

Tim is starting with the travertine around the pool edge. Very exciting, next thing you know we'll be putting water in the pool. |
