Here is Bernd with his completed master piece. I really love it. With some bougainvillea growing up on it and it will be all set. Definitely going to need an inspection for this.

Getting Plastered

Yes, we are getting plastered, plastered and more plastered (pun intended). And to think, this time last year it looked like this below.

Harley was dreading getting the concrete floors scored. It's a back breaking, tedious and dirty job.

To Harley's relief, he had the entire main floor done in a day.

Color Plaster

This final coat of plaster contained color, so that means, no painting, wall is finished. It's a soft, sandy sort of color we picked out. So glad to get rid of all that concrete. The outside walls will be the same color and again, no painting. Gary Francis and his crew have done a beautiful job with the texture. I love it.... it's perfect! To the left is Bernd starting our bathroom cabinets. Kitchen cabinets have been ordered. Railings going in next week. We're getting there.

I was a little hesitant with my whimsical design and and setting sun motif I drew up for Tito but I'm liking them now that they are going in place. Tito and guys from Carlos Iron Works did a great job. Looking forward to seeing the front gate when it's in place.

Plaster Complete

I've been away, but during my absence, things were moving along. Ceilings were stained and varnished. Shutters are up. Pool is plastered and just waiting for tile before the final coat. Slider door and "the tub" is in. Parking area and drive has been graded and leveled out. Front steps are poured. And, because of all the recent rain, our cisterns are full!
